Work is Starting - 3/5/11
Dear friends,
Following on from the
allocation of Funding I am told contracts have
been signed and matters are running to schedule
if not ahead.
The Engineers and Contractors
were over on the Island on April 26th finalising
their plans.
The Containers with equipment
and tools etc., arrived on site this week and
The Department of Infrastructure “Highways” have
issued a Road Closure Notice for the area at the
landward end of the Pier to facilitate access.
The site will of course be
secured by hoardings etc., as work commences and
we are told that barring unforeseen problems the
work will complete on schedule towards the end
of the year.
The Hoardings will show the
names of the various bodies involved in the
project.
